The Card must have enough available funds to cover the excess / deposit amount. Either way, the deposit will be returned after the rental, as long as all conditions have been met

Collecting and Dropping-off a Car

  • Pick up and drop off the car should be fast and easy, and that’s how we do it for you.
  • Our staff would happy to help you with any of your question about the car while they will demonstrate you some of the car’s useful functions that are different for each model.
  • Free delivery and drop off at Chania Hotels, Souda Bay and Chania Airport (CHQ).
  • A map of Crete is provided to you as well as some tips about Crete, places to visit and parking places.
  • When you pick your car up, the fuel tank will be full or partly full. Just before you return your car, please replace the fuel you’ve used, our staff would advise you on how many liters you should add depending on your trip if the car is not completely full. If you prefer to bring the car back without refueling the estimated cost would be charged without any extra charges or penalties

Insurance Terms

Basic insurance includes:

  • Third party liability (TPL)

This covers the driver’s liability for injuries and property damage which are covered by the policy. It does not cover injuries to the driver or damage to the rental car.

  • Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

In the event of an accident, this insurance covers medical and legal costs for injuries which are covered by the policy.

  • Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP)

Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) covers the driver’s liability for costs resulting from an accident involving an uninsured driver, subject to the terms of the rental agreement. This protection applies to all authorized drivers of the rental car.

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

If the car’s bodywork gets damaged, you’re covered by the Collision Damage Waiver. This means that the most you’ll pay towards repairs is the damage excess (differs for each car category).

The coverage for all the above is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t cover other parts of the car (e.g. windows, wheels, interior or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing or driving off-road), or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings). Repairs, roadside assistance or other services not approved by the car hire company will also void the insurance.

  • Glass Insurance (G.I.)

This insurance is provided with an additional daily fee of  1€ per day and covers all windows and windscreens on the car. It does not cover broken mirrors.

  • Super Collision Damage Waiver (S.C.D.W.)

An extra insurance to cover damages on bodywork below the excess of the normal C.D.W.
This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t cover other parts of the car (e.g. windows, wheels, interior or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing or driving off-road), or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings). Repairs, roadside assistance or other services not approved by the car hire company will also void the C.D.W.
