The route to Balos first follows the main road toward Kissamos. After that, a dirt road from Kaliviani leads to the Balos parking area. The whole area from Kaliviani to the top of the hill is a protected area in the program Natura 2000. The small and narrow rocky road will take you up to the top of the hill, from there you will have to hike a small path that will take you to the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
